A Day in My Life as a UKM student
Wednesday of Week 6 was one of my tornado days at UKM. Starting from an early morning presentation and ending with an evening meeting. As a student, balancing my studies, club activities and sport training is not as easy as it seems like. There are days that really test my stamina, and this was definitely one of them.
My day began around 9.30 a.m, but before that, my group for the Citra class had decided to meet up 30 minutes early. We wanted a quick decision to finalize any last minute details before our presentation. I tried to make it on time but with the bus packed and the delays piling up, i ended up arriving a bit late. Thankfully, i was on time to before the presentation started and managed to quickly went over our points and finalized our plan. At 9.30 sharp, we gathered outside our lecturer's office to present our assignement video. I was a little nervous, but as we started everything were going according to plan and we were all relieved when our lecturer awarded us full marks! It felt like such a rewarding moment, knowing our hard work paid off.
Afterwards, we decided to celebrate a little. Why not, right? So we headed to Helo Moo! for some yogurt. After that, i headed to my next class, Account, which was schedule at 11. I managed to arrive just before it started. Since it was election week, we had a few candidates from our faculty stop by our class to campaign and share their manifestos with us. It was interesting to learn more about their vision for the campus.
Once the class wrapped up, i went straight to my next class, Aplikasi Komputer Bersepadu. This week, we were diving into HTML, and we even got an assignment for it. I'll admit, HTML coding can feel confusing especially as a beginner, but im slowly finding my way through it. After the class, a few friends and i went over the basics together and it helped make things feel a bit more manageable.
By the time i wrapped my classes, it was already late afternoon. My netball training was schedule from 5 to 7 p.m, so i headed over to the court. After my training ended, my next stop was the cafe for dinner. I was so hungry i didn't think to take a photo of my food (priorities right?) hahaha! After a quick meal, I made my way back to my room to prepare for my next activity, a club meeting at 9 p.m. Finally, around 10.30 p.m, i got back to my room. Reflecting on the day, it struck me how jam-packed my schedule can get with all of the responsibilities but i wouldn't trade this experience for anything. Anyway, there is something special about the hectic rhythm of student life, especially when it's spent with friends, learning and growing everyday eventhough it is tiring but at the end of the day everything will be worth it.
